Cocino

Designed as part of a my Special Studio Projects class over the course of the semester, Cocino is a typeface celebrating multiculturalism and the food that unites us. Cocino, meaning kitchen or to cook, is derived from latin, the precursor to many of our languages today. With a bold and modern look coupled with curved accents, Cocino is meant to be flexible in its usage, while relating to culture in some way. For example, Cocino fits right in with the style of a variety of different ethnic restaurants, and reflects a unified style of our network of multicultural foods that exist within the US today. Currently, Cocino comes with lowercase, upper case, numerals, and a limited range of symbols.
