Jukebox
April 2024
Created in collaboration with Fiona Sullivan and Alexa Valadez, Jukebox is a sustainable, caffeine-based energy drink brand providing sustained energy through the benefits of real fruit juice, allowing for a smooth start to your day. For the brand identity website project in Computer Graphics, we were tasked to create a brand from the topic of “caffeine.” We developed Jukebox from the ground up, with original packaging and illustrations, with different colors for different fruits. With a modern and fun look aiming towards the younger 18-25 college student demographic, we wanted Jukebox to fit within the student routine. Including a variety of flavors from traditional fruits to more exotic varieties, Jukebox focuses on variety packs and letting you take your pick. The overall concept is inspired by the music vending machines known as jukeboxes In the 1930s, and a juke was a small restaurant where people could eat, drink, and dance. “Juking” here meant dancing and getting rowdy, and when the music machines came along, they were aptly named “jukeboxes.” Combining this aspect and “juicebox” just seems like a perfect fit.
With the concept finalized, we built our website from scratch in HTML and CSS, incorporating a home page, about page, product info page, order/store page, and a location and contact page. This project was a great look into how brand identity interacts with front-end web design, and was a fun attempt at art direction that I would like to pursue more in the future.
